I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list

Dave's Minivan Life

I bought the van in 2015 to haul my gear to my gigs. (I'm a musician). It had more than136,000 miles on it when i bought it. At that time i was driving about 100 miles per day. Sometimes six or seven days a week. Well, she got me through all of that for about six and a half years.

When Covid came, it gave me the excuse I needed to quit the band I had been working with for the past 12 years and just do my own thing (More on that later).

At some point I just decided to do the conversion. I had been watching some Youtube van life videos and it was just so intriguing to me.

About the time I finished it, the gas prices zoomed up, my mom was hospitalized with cancer, West Nile and Encephalitis. About the same time, I was diagnosed with cancer. Talk about a kill joy. We're both fine now. The Encephalitis did do some irreversible damage to her brain but it was minimal. After, chemo, a couple of surgeries and a few maintenance treatments I was finally free to hit the road which is exactly what I did.
